Personal Storyboard Projects

This page contains storyboards, thumbnails, story beats, and even animatics that I have made for my personal projects

A six panel storyboard for the “This is Animation” from Sony Pictures and Yellowbrick

Completed in June 2026

This is an assignment from the Sony Pictures and Yellowbrick road class of “This is Animation”. For this assignment, I had to create a six panel storyboard story.

So, I used my characters of Kairos the human girl, Frontier the cat, Mr. Zapton who has a boxy TV head, and finally Voltage who has a flat screen TV for a head.

In this little story, Kairos and Frontier are exploring a planet that is basically a livable film studio. Its citizens are mixed with cameras, TV heads, and various production equipment. This was to ensure that that Kairos and Frontier would stand out amongst the citizens as they explored.

However, she hears a noise and moves out of the way to see Voltage chasing after Mr. Zapton. They decide to help him out without hesitation.

But, Mr. Zapton is found to be cornered in an alleyway by Voltage. He wants the box that Mr. Zapton is carrying but Mr. Zapton refuses. But before Voltage could attack, a blast from Kairos and Frontier knocks him out.

The storyboard ends with Mr. Zapton meeting Kairos and Frontier.

1 Panel Storyboard assignment for the “This is Animation” from Sony Pictures and Yellowbrick

Completed July 2026

A one panel story beat if my character named, Mr. Zapton, the TV-head executive scared out of his mind as he meets Kairos and her partner, Frontier. Mr. Zapton has never seen a human before, so to him this little girl is like a scary monster.

However, Kairos is happy to meet one of this planet’s denizens alongside her cat

Doctor Jellyfish Transformation Storyboards

Completed in November 2025

This sequence was for a personal animation. For context: Doctor Jellyfish was supposed to show off how he could turn from human to a jellyfish.

Starting from him throwing his crown, which from above looks like a folded up jellyfish, into the air. Then, once the crown is in perfection position he crouches down with his cape folded over him. In rapid succession , he jumps into his crown which grows into the proper jellyfish shape and the gold “crown” part of the hat folds over. At the same time, his cape transforms into his signature jellyfish tentacles.

Due to how I wanted to keep the goofiness of the superhero comics, I went with this sequence to capture both the fun and silliness that they carry.

Completed in November 2025

The early roughs of the Doctor Jellyfish transformation. In this version, it was a lot more straight forward. Doctor Jellyfish makes an incredible jump which in turns throws his hat into the air, spinning around before entering his hat and becoming the jellyfish form.

The crouch was added later on to be more exciting.
